The problem with that is in most systems, you're only running a single plant per section. You don't mix plants, that's usually a bad idea in shared-space systems.

I have systems that use 74w and can grow most low-leaf crops in a 1.2m x 1.2m square area. Typical HID for the same space - 600w. Using about the same power as the HID in LED, I could stack the channels and produce loads of food in a tiny space.

Not true. Blues operate on 3.2-3.6Vf typical. Reds use 2.4-3.0Vf It's all about that eV level.
