what does it mean when im using my multi meter to check continuity, I have the plug end with one probe and im touching the board contacts with the other.

I touch one contact on the board and it makes the normal sound , shows a reading all good.

I touch another contact and nothing happens, like normal, all looks good

I then touch it to another contact, the multi meter makes a new noise, and the screen goes dead until I let go of the contact, the multi meter returns back to normal.
