Heat gun was hands down the best 15 dollar investment i made in this learning process. In terms of resin clarity, using a vacuum chamber to degas before pouring helped, but the heat gun is what turns the surface to glass. I initially used a torch, but found the control with the heat gun infinitely easier, and long run cheaper. Only downside is fan in the heat gun can stir up/blow random small debris into your pour.

I'm Los Angeles based, and some of the furniture pricing at galleries out here is utterly ridiculous. I figure if I can somehow tap into that market, and get my stuff to a sellable level of quality, I'll have a nice little side hustle hobby.

Here's a side table i made for myself a while back
