Going to be building a workbench. I have seen the ones with tons of drawers, is it worth it to have drawers top to bottom or should I have a foot under the top for other things? I need it mobile and will be doing something like 6 or 7 feet long by 4 feet. I will have then a vice on one side I got as a gift. I guess what do people enjoy the most about their benches for wood working? Pic related is what I was thinking of building with overhand of 4 inches per side.

>I need a sturdy work bench that can hold over 1000 lbs and that is 8 feet in length.
pic related is fine.
>Picture not related.
Well, damn.
>It will hold up a 600 pound metal lathe and a 500 pound milling machine, as well as various other machining tools.
>I also want to add a few drawers to it.
>I was wondering if I should go with 2x4 or 4x4?
I always use 4x4 for legs. There's more to fasten to.
>Will a 2x4 work bench support this much weight? Will a 3/4" plywood table top be strong enough to hold this much weight if it had cross braces along the 8 foot length?
Sure.
