Not power tool but the hammer must start the most injuries than any other handtool. People just don't know how to swing them and I still fuck my shit every 6 months. Since we're talking about lathes, y'all should see a letterpress machine in action. We have about 5 of these in our shared industrial building, Heidelbergs and Vandercooks seem pretty safe but I've seen some crushed fingers in the Platen presses.
