My dryer was running today perfectly fine and it randomly stopped running while the timer was still in the middle of a cycle. Could not ever get the dryer to turn back on.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to two possible issues.

So far I’ve checked:
Power from wall
Door switch(didn’t work for 2 years just stayed permanent closed until a month ago I finally had to replace)
Heater fuse
Start switch
Belt

1st of my two possible problem parts is the Dryer timer switch. I watched https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wC3ZKbhhAZA which claims W-T should be switched and read close to zero, I’ve tried spinning the dial, Mine is open no matter what on that side.
However, I tried jumping these two wires and that did nothing, not sure if it would be that simple, but I’m going with no.

2nd is the dryer motor, schematics shows it should have 2.3-3.8 Ohms resistance but I’m reading 1.5 Ohms - assuming I’m reading from the correct terminals which I believe strongly I am.

Where do I go from here? I’m close to just getting a new dryer but figure I would try to save this old Roper for a little longer.
