A key component is the battery controller which handles the mains adaptor input and the 72-cell solar panel. It generates 70V from the 36V panel and prevents over-charging as well as over-discharging of the 60V battery. Lithium toy cells are no match to the robust 6DZM20 batteries and reliable lithium car batteries are still very expensive. Charging lithium cells is much more delicate and needs a totally different technique (e.g. balancing and protection) that the LK1500AC battery controller does not provide.
