Rusted brake line burst while I was on the highway, 100 miles from home, it was 5pm and no mechanic wanted to help me same day. Limped to AutoZone. Bought brake fluid and filled the reservoir up so I could get maybe one good panic brake by pumping it. Used manual trans / engine braking to drive the 100 miles home all gas no brakes. I missed 2 exits because I couldn't slow the car down enough to safely turn off the highway. Thankfully never had to stop the whole time I was on the highway. It worked out but I would not ever recommend it or do it again. My ass was puckered the whole drive and knuckles were white from gripping the wheel so hard. Got home and just sat down for a while in silence and made a good burger to appreciate still being alive.
