I bought these to stretch out my shoes - the toe box is always a bit too tight because I have fucking hobbit feet.

All the way expanded, these barely touch the side of my shoes... how do I make one get wider?

Maybe take the two wood blocks off, glue a spacer on the sides of each, and then drill those spacers so they expand with the same mechanism?

Is there some kind of spreader tool I could use that I'm just not thinking of?
