is the only momentary difference between a car battery and a 9v 3 volts?, sure the car battery lasts longer
but a little 500 ohm resistor across a car battery , 0.576 watts
500 ohm resistor across 9v battery , 0.324 watts

i feel like a car battery would turn the little thing to ashes, am i missing something? data sheet says it can handle 1 watt
