I understand you aren't trying to champion OSB as the miracle material. Im just trying to let op understand what hes in for if he pursues "modern or advanced" building techniques.
Op is building his own home, which likely means he has paid for land and some money to play with.
I guarantee you if he lives where it rains and especially if it snows, he will have rot with OSB. If you can introduce op to better than plywood materials specifically designed for roofing, please do. This is a good opportunity for an exchange of knowledge and information
