There is a VERY simple test you can do to see if it's out of calibration or not. Put your torque wrench on a lug nut and set it for 20 ft lbs. Take a 20 lb weight and very slowly balance it on the wrench. If it clicks when the full weight is applied you know you're good. Even a cheap half inch Harbor Freight torque wrench has an accuracy of +/- 4% which means it might click at 19.2 ft lbs or 20.8 ft lbs which is still good.
