anon you can get those to a damn mirror finish with a piece of sandpaper on one of those $30 12"x6" granite surface plates, the adhesive back stuff.

don't get too fine a grit at first though, it will take for-fucking-ever to get down to a flat surface. I don't really know how to polish surfaces that aren't flat, probably one of those soft wheels + polishing compound on a rotary tool.

Nice, soon you too will be freezing your ass off in the morning trying to light the wood stove because your ceilings are too high.

Or do you have a roof there that isn't finished yet? Mine just goes all the way up to the arches, even with insulation it's such a gigantic volume to heat it's almost futile.
