I use mostly Robertson heads, the square hole bits.

Everything else seems to cam out worse than those and when anything else cams out, they are usually ruined. Flathead is the best for not camming out, but it always slides out the side half the time you are manipulating things. The best part of flathead is that all the other heads can become a flathead in a few seconds if you need them to.

Better get to work then. There is a special tool to remove that stuff.

This is the only tool made for one-way screw extraction: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM5917592105P?ci_src=184425893&ci_sku=SPM5917592105&sid=IDx20130125xMPTLSx025

This or carve up a spare flathead's heat to make something that will work. I've done both in a pinch. You can even make your own security heads using nails. Just cold peen them into the general shape then use a Dremel or a metal file to shape it further/dress it up then a torch or gas/electric burner cap to heat treat it. You can also super glue/epoxy the flat head of a nail to it then break the nail off the screw once you are done.

Or, you can be a buyfag and buy a big security driver set. You're not a buy fag are you?

My last Dremel project was.....hmmm....cutting slots in security screws to take apart a microwave I was harvesting parts from. Pic very related, just a different microwave and different type of security screws same result though.

I don't care what kind of screw it is, you can use a flathead screwdriver on it!

I have tons of Torx, but not one with a hole in the middle.

What have you improvised or jerry-rigged lately?
