Exactly wrong. Buy *two* single-drawer dishwashers and stack them.

Take dishes from the "clean" one.
Put them into the "dirty" one.

Dirty and clean switch with every cycle.

Use cupboard space and time emptying dishwashers into cupboards for
something useful (like storing food and playing video games)
