How well would a wooden motor mount stand up to the elements?
I want to mount pic related into my bike in a trash ebike build that i'm doing, and making my own motor mount out of woods seems the most cost effective way to go.
what sort of wood should I use? i know hardwood would be best, but is there any species in perticular that would fit the weather resistant bill?
How should I treat it? wood hardener, or should I stabilize it with resin? as long as it doesn't degrade too quickly that's alright with me.
