Guys I'm a cheap peasant who has made full use of dollar store pliers for over a decade of abuse, I don't know 'good quality tools'. I've heard some people complain about cheap tap and die sets being the worst thing you could ever cheap out on while others have said that they've had good enough experiences with harbor freight and aliexpress chinesium. I just need to do some stupid crap with threading 3/4'' aluminum conduit and maybe an aluminum plug for it. I have no idea what cost should be expected for usable taps and dies for this, I've seen some chinesium listings that reviewers said couldn't even start cutting and stripped themselves immediately.

pls halp, what are good budget taps and dies?
