If you puukko yourself, here is what I do:

>Stop blood dripping with some tissue while you whimper in pain
>Go rinse with running water
>Press down on wound with free hand while holding both hands above head
>When bleeding is slowed apply dressing
>After bleed has more or less stops, change into hydrocolloid bandage
