Because you faggots are obviously too basic to have heard of composite aircraft wings and components (as used by the A380; you may have heard of it), or understand the effect parasitic drag has on airframe performance, here's some info. Have pic related as well, a rivet less wing/mainspar assembly. Feel free to go google up some info on all the composite aircraft Cessna have been making since 2007 as well if you'd like.

> However, the rivets and seams required by aluminum skins produce additional drag, which tends to decrease performance. In many modern gliders, composite construction using materials such as fiberglass and carbon fiber are quickly replacing aluminum. Composite materials allow aircraft designers to create seamless and rivet-less structures with shapes that produce less drag.

As to you >>872545 you gape-arsed faggot, if you are going to make an argument, do not post an image which contradicts what you are saying. The guy is doing a quick ramp repair to an aluminium built, riveted airframe. If you had posted a pic of the LS1's wing, or any other structure from a composite aircraft, then the cockbelches above would not have had shit to say.

Fuck I hate this board sometimes.
