>I cant fucking open the top lid at all.
I use the cutting edge of my pocket knife to bite into the cap a bit then lever it up.
You may have to pry in several places around the cap to keep it coming up somewhat straight.
Once it's up, a screwdriver removes the screw holding the handle on.
Pull up and wiggle the handle to remove it.
If you can't get it off by just pulling, you may need a faucet handle puller.
