>RULES
0. Electrics ≠ electronics. Appliances/mains stuff to /qtddtot/ or /sqt/. PC assembly to >>>/g/.
1. Do your own homework. Search web first. Re-read all documentation/datasheets related to your components/circuits. THEN ask.
2. Pics > 1000 words. Post relevant schematic/picture/sketch/9001.5 hours in MS Paint with all part numbers/values/etc. when asking for help. Focus/lighting counts.
2.5. State your skill level if asking an open-ended question.
3. Read posts fully. Solve more problems than you create.
4. /ohm/ is an anonymous, non-smoking general.

>I'm new to electronics, where to get started?
It is an art/science of applying principles to requirements.
Find problem, learn principles, design and verify solution, build, test, post results, repeat

>coz they're not actually about teaching you practical stuff
Disagree. Those contrived, convoluted resistor networks are, like most algebra classes, about teaching you that everything can be solved by methodical application of simple rules, should you need to. It makes practice seem relatively easy.

I noticed that there are some mistakes in my circuit: Wrong fuse T1, Capacitors labled in wrong order, tubes (V1/2/3 are ECC83/12AX7 and V4 and V5 are EL84) and diodes miss values..

Ignore those obvious mistakes of mine

I hope im just stating the obvious but have you tried to find a fuse schematic and just pull the fuse for the security system? Will this work?

Also, at this point I would just wire a push button ignition. Completely bypass that security system. Make sure your door locks are good.

thank you sir.

i've been working with electronics for four or so years now. but i've never actually learned to design pcb's. we used proteus in school many years ago but i didn't pay attention and the teachers we horribly inept.
iv'e found sparkfun and hackaday's tutorials for eagle cad somewhat helpful.
you guys know of other good resources for eagle? tuts or libraries?

my fist project will probably a simple cpld breakout 5x10cm board with jtag and regulators.. pretty simple.
thing is that xilinx's own library seems weird and making a device from scratch with the right footprint is something i think i'd fuck up.
couldn't i just copy a device with the default vqp44 footprint and edit its pins and name/value to suit my needs instead of making a footprint from scratch?

just general noob tips would be appreciated also^^
thanks dudes.

also. which service do you use? i was thinking id try dirtypcbs.com

I'd start with this, but substitute all the switches with guitar pedals so it's easier to mount on to your quad-rotor shipping container. You should be able to find the bridged rectumfrier at Harbor Freight.
