Make a crossbow out of leaf springs, as strong as possible, but weak enough so you can load it by "deadlifting it", get steel bolts for it. Extra points if you have like 4 or 5 of those, positioned near windows.

Set up a chicken wire fence on your perimeter and some kind of alarm system or motion sensor stuff to it.

If the alarm system goes off, it should wake you up and light the whole place up. If it doesn't scare the robbers -> Use the crossbows, no warning shots because it's a fucking crossbow and time is against you when you use those.
