An "8ohm" speaker measures 8ohms at 1kHz, and self-resonates at 260Hz. That means:
>the inductance of the the coil is 1.274mH
>the parasitic capacitance is 294uF
using X_L = 2pi*f*L and 2pi*f = 1/sqrt(LC)

are these numbers right? 1.274mH seems doable on a big transformer, but 294uF sounds way too high for parasitic capacitance
