Bauer portaband is on sale for $99 right now. Ditch the blade and buy a 3 pack of DeWalt online ($20). Mine gets used daily for over a year now.

I love my Bauer (Harbor Freight) portaband and homemade hillbilly SWAG table for it. For $100, it does a great job cutting knife blade blanks.

Just an FYI guys, HF has their Portaband on sale for $95 right now and it's great for bar stock if you hillbilly a SWAG table for it like I did.

Well, it won't win any awards, but if you need a cheap $100 vertical steel cutting band saw and have scrap wood laying around, it's not a bad way to go.
