That’s part of the reason I like it. It’s a long handle 3/8” so I don’t have to worry about putting a little weight onto it so I don’t have to grab a breaker bar and 1/2” socket. Oh and for anybody who thinks tooth count is everything, that Williams is so tight (in a good way) that the swing is probably close to a loose 60T from China.

I have been thinking about a long handle 1/2” drive and I can’t decide what I want to do. Williams is affordable and nice, Proto makes a 45T (J5450XL) for around $70, there’s a Carlyle 90T which is $60-$70 that I really like, Gearwrench 84T is about $50.

Kek. Those things really are trash. Redditors think everything from that brand is superior to Snap On but the stuff besides their screwdrivers isn’t very appealing.

I agree. I have a 72T which is the same shape handle as those 84T’s and I think it’s nice in 1/4” but the 1/2” is way too big. If you swing a little to much with it working on a car, it would be easy as hell to put a dent in something.

The regular 36T ratchets aren’t bad, but they’re too short and the plastic selector switch made some people mad. The 84T has a metal one at least. That plastic selector switch is also on those Pitt Pro ratchets which makes me kinda nervous because they stick out from the back of the head and could definitely be sheared off.

The ratchets in that pic are the Craftsman Professional Series Premium ratchets. They had great reviews but I have no idea what they retailed for but I bet you could catch a sale for something reasonable.
