Cheap ratchets are cheap ratchets. But if you’re going to spend <$10 on a ratchet, spring for the $6 pear head instead of the $3 round head. The $6 one will last much longer.

Good round heads should last a lifetime. SK has been making them fucking forever and nobody complains about those. IMO the pear head is a better design for a handful of reasons which is why the majority of ratchets use that design, but I wouldn’t shit on anybody who likes their SK. I just wouldn’t buy one myself.
