I am not a woodworker. I want to slap together a cheap shelf, so I drew this up. Should be easy, just six 2x4s so <$25. I've plenty of tools, but I despise my piece of shit wobbly table saw, so being able to smash this out with just the miter saw is appealing to me. Is this design terrible? Am I setting myself up for failure? Can you make it work with only 5 2x4s? I don't know what I'm doing and fully expect to have made some retarded decisions despite the simple design.
