OP If you can make a jacket that looks like the pic that's a cool thing. Its definitely pretty punk rock as long as you actually make it your self. But I think what the other poster is getting at is that when someone decides to make something like that for the first time it usually doesn't come out like that. That just looks like some shitty thing you'd get at hot topic and that kind of misses the point of the punk diy spirit. If you try to wear a jacket that looks like that to a punk show anyone who is really into the punk lifestyle is gonna treat you like some shitty scenetalented /diy/er But if people know you make jackets like that cause its your thing and fuck everyone and there opinions you'll be alright. I used to work with a guy who would scrap all the copper wire that was left over after a job. He would just build a fire and throw the wire in and burn the insulation off. He said it smelled awful and made a lot smoke but it was a low tech and cheap way to get the job done. He didn't have any neighbors though so maybe this isn't a good option for most people. I know that doesn't answer your question OP but it is at least another option. Good Luck OP
