Recently got into /tg/ and have decided I want to make a better game board for myself. Plan on using 2'x4'x¼" mdf and routing V-grooves 1/16" deep to make a 1"grid over all but the outermost 2" of the sheet. Once that's complete I plan to flock (the grass material modelers and wargamers use to simulate grass on their pieces) the surface. Knowing mdf swells like week-old roadkill when exposed to water, I wonder what pva glue should I use to adhere the flock to the mdf?

Alternatively, and this will help me with the second board I plan to make (stone/dungeon floor themed), should I put a couple of rattle can base coats down before I go ahead with anything else?
