What about easy access?
Thats what a tool chest is for which accomplishes it in a very efficient way.
Pegboards are so space inefficient you can barely fit any tools on them. The whole concept is so mind bogglingly stupid its not funny. Lets just let all the dirt and dust and moisture sit on all of your tool for aesthetic. Dont forget the stepstool for all the tools up high!

Toolboxes arent expensive, they are cheap and plentiful on the second hand market.
I bought an 11 drawer craftsman box for $75
Even a new one is only $250.
In the pic related, itll fit nicely in 2-3 drawers with so much more room to spare.
