I searched the catalog and couldn't find anything related...

I live in florida, and I am still experiencing 90+ degree weather. My central A/C unit just kicked the bucket, and I can't afford a new one right now. I was going to buy some window units, but they are "out of season" so walmart/home depot/etc don't have them for sale.

my questions are...

>how can I possibly fix my A/C unit or troubleshoot it?

its colder outside than it is inside. I would open windows, but there are a lot of bugs/spiders/snakes/etc around AND I have pets.

This worked WONDERS for me. I used a medium-sized cooler, a $15 fish-tank pump from my local garden center (probably could've gone to a petsmart, but w/e), a fan that you'd put on a desk or table, and a spiral of copper tubing. One end of the tubing attached to the pump and the other end returned the water into the cooler.

It probably cost me $40 total, but it honestly worked better than any other knockoff a/c thing I've ever seen.

(ps - put ice and water in the cooler)
