>It would appear your bed was not properly stress relieved.
Stock stress relief, original died, printed one from creality's files in PETG, mounted it exactly like I got it.
>Also looks like you didn't burn your house down [...] You encountered this problem without an open flame, you lucked out, smile faggot
I was laughing hysterically because I caught it when it happened. I installed Marlin and enabled thermal runaway (because it's not a thing in the stock firmware for some reason???) when I got the printer. I started preheating only for the printer to go into thermal runaway safe-mode. Shoved the bed and saw sparks flying. Knew shit was fucked.
>chop your dick off.
What. I'm not a tranny, I was born a boy, I am a man and I will die a man (XY chromosomes).
>Now you get to spend $20 on a replacement, and you know it's going to need better stress relief to avoid this.
I'm thinking about selling the printer and buying something new to be honest. Ender 5 Plus maybe, there are a few for 200€ish near me.
>Might consider the Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro heatbed, it's overpriced at about $40 from Ali or $50 on Amazon, but it's genuinely a better made, flatter, more reliable, safer, less-shit design than their old standard bed.
And spaced out 5mm more. I'd have to drill into the carrier plate. Not a big issue though.
>You could also use this as an opportunity to upgrade, install a solid-state relay and a line-voltage silicone heater, hell you could even go all out with a good cast-aluminum build plate.
Go on ...

>For the love of god don't buy one of these stupid pieces of shit with the pathetic connector on it, picrel. They're TRASH, avoid like the plague.
Thanks Anon, I'm poor, not retarded, I work with electrical shit at work, pic related is what I did with ASAP.
That shit in your pic rel is also not properly strain relieved, it just does not have stranded wire soldered on the pads.

You lads made me do it. Took like half an hour and I also got to clean the entire thing. Good that I had my crimping set from work on me.

Thanks
