no it doesnt, Home Depot associates are trained not to overstep into areas they dont know anything about and try to find someone more knowledgeable to refer to instead of spewing bullshit. the training programs instruct you its perfectly fine to tell a customer that you arnt familiar with a product or procedure but encourage you to be proactive in finding the right solution through other employees or online resources.

hell in the lumber, electrical and plumbing departments you are forbidden from discussing specific building codes and must always tell the customer to refer to a licensed contractor or building inspector to confirm that they are meeting the local standards for their project.
