This is an O1 tool steel kitchen knife, about 200mm/8" using very thin 2mm stock with a convex grind. Got it to about 60HRC after 3 thermocycles to get the grain size extremely fine and treated with a hot vinegar patina.
Made a low-level mokume gane bolster using copper, nickel silver and brass, quite a fair bit of fiddling to get that bonded to the steel (high temp silver solder) and actually stay there when it was heat treated. Handle is done in a keyhole-style, basically layers of F4 and G10 squished together with a burl laminate on the outside.
Has nice balance and managed to keep the weight down ok.
