Not sure if “specialty” but maybe more of “those cordless tool offerings besides a drill and sawzall”

I grabbed this little fan last night for $50 because it will be nice to have around during hurricane season. Has an outlet so you can plug an extension cord in, or runs off 18V batteries. Stuck a 4.0Ah battery in the thing with 3 bars, ran it for a good 5 hours and was only down to 2 bars. It moves are pretty good for a ~10” fan, it’s real quiet, and has hooks to hang it from whatever wire or conduit, a slot to mount it on the wall with a screw, and one of those little threaded inserts to stick it on a tripod. It’s light too, the 4.0Ah battery is probably more than half the weight of the whole thing.

Compare it to these fans you can find at Walmart which take 6x D batteries, move like half the air of the Ridgid, and it will run through half a dozen fresh Duracells by the time you wake up in the morning.

I like it better than I expected. The thing will be great even when I’m out on the driveway or backyard in the summer and need some moving air because it’s much easier than pulling out an extension cord.
