seems pretty reasonable. 6mA is a pretty high Iabc tho, maybe you need a smaller cap instead of those 10uF. also those linearizing diodes are not there to help gain

depends on your bench supply :^)

if you mean collector-emitter current and the transistor is in the active region, then yes, by a factor of the transistor's beta, as long as there is current available (otherwise it saturates)

> Start learning electronics a year ago
> Got the essentials: scope, multimeter ...etc.
> But my lab powersupply isn't really up to the task, goes up to 15v only and is current limited at 1.2 amps
> I could build one but that would take too much time and money
> Look for a second hand variable powersupply online
> Find guy selling one for peanuts
> 20 dollars but 200km away from home
> Up to 60v it says, no photos. Welp, why not
> Have no car, I'll take the train for which I have free tickets
> Call him
> He barely speaks my language and I barely speak his
> "Yes you come I give you machine"
> "Does it work for that price ? I'll have to take it with me in the train, I have no car."
> "Yes yes work. You come take, not big. Small machine."
> Travel on Saturday, it's nice and sunny.
> Arrive at said guy's home.
> German dude is in his garden, violently screaming at his apparently hyperactive kids
> "Ah you come. Good. Here machine"
> Guy shows me the powersupply.
> It's rated 65v at 30amps, about 70*50*30cm
> Holy fuck, that thing is HUGE no way I'm taking that home in my back pack
> I'm pretty fit, so when I fail to even lift it a centimeter from the ground I get pretty scared.
> "Dude I told you I had no car and thing weights at least 140kgs"
> "Ah ! No problem I sell you trolley"
> Guy comes back a with heavy duty folding 4 wheel trolley
> "10 dollars more okay for you ?"
> "O...okay"
> It takes us 10 minutes to simply put the damn thing on the trolley.
> I have to take 3 different trains to bring that to my home
> Everyone everywhere is systematically turning to watch that monstrosity I'm pushing around
> It's so heavy the trolley's handle is starting to bend
> After 5 hours, finally home is at sight
> 30 meters from my house, the trolley cracks in half
> I have to call 3 friends to walk those 30m and put it upstairs.
>Just realize it's powered with a 3 phase plug

What the fuck did I just buy /diy/ ?
I..I can't power it with simple domestic 1 phase power can I ?
