I did build some raised beds this year from 4x6 treated timbers. They are stacked 2 high in alternating pattern with several TimberLok bolts to hold things tight. Pretty quick and easy to make. Just arranged them on a flat level surface (garage floor), drilled pilot holes, and drove the bolts in with an impact driver. Dig slightly into ground, lay sand and small gravel, level and back fill with planting medium. In this case, a friendly acid medium for azalea.

Also put a water diverter above the shed door to keep the porch from rotting again. Re-shodding and reinforcing the porch was next.
