-no. I am basing this off information from shop class. I made a pimp ass wooden plant holder. I used it once to smash the face of some ghetto ass nig nog trying to push his way in my place.

Those metal strips around the Barrel? That is what you come out with.
1. You put wood glue on the pieces of wood that are precut at particular angles so they make a ____agon(hex, octa, penta)
2. You put the "Steel Strapping"(strip of metal) around the wood so the "Steel Strapping Seal"(a C shaped piece of metal) connects the band around the wood
3.You put both peices of Steel Strap though the "Manual Feedwheel Steel Strapping Tensioner " and tighten. Use a rubber mallet to re-adjust the woods, tighten, rubber mallet, tighten, rubber mallet, tighten
4. Than you use a tool called a "manual steel strapping sealer" on the crimp to fasten the metal together
5. Cut off excess metal than grind down

Like a said, I still have a nice collection of Nig Nog teeth I have kept around and the pot which I still grow peppermint out of. This shit will make you barrel pretty tight. Just keep the Straps on and make sure you properly use sealant on your tub

P.S. study the art of barrel making and/or go to a bourbon distillery for additional info. They do it traditionally down there
