The ones on banggood/ali like picrelated are pretty decent, they come with 12V geared brushed motors that handle a 3S lipo just fine. Bit more expensive than the one you already have, but you get what you pay for.

There are plenty of resources for this online - I did picrelated as a quick project a few years ago, it's just an Arduino with an Adafruit motor shield with some code I found online to decode the signal from the receiver.

I was right, this is super fun :)
