for small time builders a router table is faster
CNC below mass production size machines is incredibly slow
It takes me about 45 min to cut a blank on a bandsaw, get a template on it and rout it
If you had a shaper and a pin router you could probably knock out body in 20 min
for more complex stuff like carved tops a pantograph router setup is going to be simpler to operate than a CNC
