The toothed Cobras and Alligators are a different tool. The pliers wrench in the pic is made to replace an old school adjustable wrench (pic related).

For sizing, I agree with >>1546981 I think 7” is more versatile for around the house stuff, like 1/4” up to 3/4”. I got the 10” because I don’t own a bunch of real large open ended wrenches, so I figured the 10” could save my ass in a situation where I need to loosen some >1” plumbing fixture and I don’t have a regular wrench in that size. I really want the 7” to keep in my work bag though.
