These are the sanders I have. The black one I've had for awhile and forgot about. It was kind of a pain in the ass because it's heavy, and the sandpaper is spiked on. Should I do that, or use the orbital? What grit?
I had tried sanding the nibs with the cheapo Walmart one in the bottom right, 220 grit, and very minimal pressure. I saw stain being pulled out and stopped. It doesn't look too bad because the table is hardly even in it's appearance, but I'd like to avoid regressing to the staining stage.
I think I applied too much to begin with. I tried wiping, like stain, but it seemed to completely wipe off.
I watched a video today of a guy using PolyX on a guitar body. He used Beartex white as an applicator. The local Woodcraft has it, so I'm going to grab some tomorrow.

I might be getting ass results at woodworking, but money isn't the issue here.
