Also, What do you think a piece like this would go for? There's a raised tray inside that can slide back and forth for more usable room. I honestly can't remember how many hours I have in the inlay but it's really not bad and I would think my margins would be better.

If I had my druthers I'd much rather have 3-5 finished tables in "stock" with 10-12 slabs listed and build them custom to what the customer wants.

That's what I was looking at, but with this kind of stuff you pay for how experienced the woodworker is (I assume). It's certainly getting me a ballpark though. The ranges are astonishing however. Seemingly the same table can go from $400 to $1700 depending on the seller. Both 2" slabs, wire legs, walnut etc.

Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it. It's getting me pretty excited to give this a shot.

The shit my friends have requested I make out of pallet wood, drive me nuts, but they are funding my hobby, so whatever.

The barn will be pretty basic, but I've got some ideas for functionality. It'll probably end up being 8-10'x12'. I want barn style roof pitch for storage and one of the small sides completely opening up as the door with a window on the other side for ventilation in the hotter months. I plan to have the whole barn on a switch in the house so I can leave a heater "on" in there and just flip the electricity on to let it warm up for my in the colder months. I also have plans for running PVC through the rafters for a dust collection system that will run off a shop vac.

What's an enlarger table?

Sand shading. Thrown in a couple pounds of sand in a beater pot and get it fuck hot and take some needle nose pliers and wiggle it around in the sand a few seconds at a time. It's a feel thing for sure. The charring at the surface may or may not be what it looks like on the inside of the piece after you make it flush with the rest of the piece.

This was my first attempt at inlaying

Completed that last July. Fucked up some miters on the inside tray but I'm still pretty proud on how it turned out. First attempt at the dovetails too.

Im making a mirror frame for a friend of mine and it's heavy. about 55lbs.

I bought 3/4" walnut which should be more than strong enough itself, but I'm thinking of routing in steel L brackets in the corners. Do they make half inch or so wood screws so I don't pop out the front? Anything that would do better?

Decided to give dovetails and inlay a go. No joke the inlay was twice as easy as the dovetails, and I made a table saw jig for the tails and pins. Huge PITA.
