i taught teenagers with bare minimum asvab scores how to build pic related. basic stick frame construction is piss easy and dirt cheap. the real pain in the ass is getting utilities in and finding a parcel with proper zoning.

you can do it for $10,000 if you do all the work yourself. pier and post foundation, A1 siding, and cheap-o finishes. foundation is probably the expensive part. i know because i built 700 sqft """houses""", pic related.

that is literally a military forward operating base.

you can set this up with minimal tools and retard tier labor. i taught semi-illiterate 19 yo's how to do this shit when i was an instructor in the Seabees.

>The face is the only side with the stone.

that doesn't matter. look at your pic. at least 30% of the volume of that wall is stone, and the stone is supporting the weight of the roof and whatever else.

slapping stone against a wall that is already in place is not slipforming, that is what you would call facia masonry.

there is a big difference.

2 months is actually a long time. you underestimate how much you can get done when you work from sun up to sun down. pic relateds can get built in a single day by a crew of 8 and are of the same kind of stick frame construction you have in your home, albeit with less fancy siding.

literally anyone can do residential construction. take a look at pic related. these SEA huts are built by low ranking teenage enlisted kids who have an average asvab score of 45. in like 3 days. if you really want some practice, get some scrap 2x4's and frame up an 8x8 wall section. this guy has some pretty good videos

you know what the difference between this hut and OPs pic is? not much. mostly nicer looking materials and more labor on finish work. but they are both stick framed, piered foundation houses.

as far as cost, i can tell you just the shell (meaning floor, exterior walls, and roof) will run you about 7k$ in materials if you have access to a builder supply store. i don't know what it would cost to do it via home depot, and i don't want to. this doesn't include electrical, drywall, insulation, plumbing, etc.

a shitload of your cost is in the finishes and those little upgrades you fit in will nickel and dime you to death.

i've done a full material estimate on a finished 16x32 cabin, and with well, septic, and power drop you can build it yourself for ~22k$.

mind you this is with getting fixtures/cabinets/trim items off craigslist (still better quality than what you get in a manufactured home).

what you want is a SWA hut. the military uses a 16x32 layout on a piered foundation. a crew of 6 could knock one of these out in a day and they had an approximate cost of 3500$ in materials. this was not finish house quality, this was plywood walls and floors with open rafters.

you would still need to vaporbarrier/siding the outside and insulate and finish the inside, but for the price of one of those sheds you'd get a completely finished 500 sqft cabin.

shit, a fully finished single wide only ~16k$ brand new. might as well do that.
