I modified the design by replacing the resistor to ground with another darlington pair, but PNP.

It worked, it now has both sides of the waveform.
But, the "amplitude" voltage control is now much more sensitive and also works primarily in a negative voltage

I don't exactly/actually know why what I did worked, what exactly did I do
