Where I live, HD seems geared more towards contractors and hardware, their lumber section for example is way bigger. Lowes is a bit more like a department store for consumers, for example their lighting section is like 4 times bigger than HD's.

I live in CT, USA and have a single flue chimney and an oil-fired boiler. I'd like to install a wood stove in the same room but can't seem to find a straight answer about flue sharing. Thoughts?

Go to a mattress store.
The worker should ask you a few questions about how you sleep/if you have any pain and give you recommendations based on that.
Buy a mid-grade mattress. As with most things the sweet spot for cost/quality is in midgrade.
My wife and I spent about $900 on a king size, so double may be around $700.
And lay on them in the store.
