I do A/V Installation. Not like, live event shit. I do permanent installs of large displays, projectors, screens, speakers, racks, and run a lot of cat6 cable.

A/V never seems to come up in conversations, but I think it's a decent option for somebody looking to get into trades. It's about 50/50 whether we work on new construction sites or completely finished buildings. We work in small teams of 1-5 technicians. It's non union so we're able to start/finish whenever you want and just go home, pretty often do I do 6 hour days and get the job done and just get paid for 8, but we're expected to do some pretty non-OSHA allowed shit. I got some funny dangerous stories if anybodys interested. Prevailing wage isn't super common though which sucks. Travel is expected.

I worked at a navy base today, they have a huge building with a movie theater that screens movies early, a restaurant, bowling ally, pool hall, arcade, and two bars for the sailors. Something like 50 TV's throughout
