>Is it any decent for a entry level printer?
Yes and no. It's the same Malyan clone that a bunch of places rebrand and sell.
All 4 that I had lasted a maximum of 800 hours each before most of the hot end needed to be replaced. The newer models aren't as bad in terms of electronics issues (the ones I had corrupted SD cards if left on for more than a week), but you will find yourself replacing a bunch of parts pretty quickly. The build surface coating they include should quickly be tossed or just covered over with blue tape or PEI.

It's a spring-board printer, but honestly it would be better to save up $70 more and get an Ender 3 kit when they're on sale. Which is all the time.

>That's awesome! Are they all your own designs?
Yes. I have four designs, with some derivations and lots of options for each.
>What do you do with them after?
Beat the shit out of one, gave two away, threw one in the trash.
>what does your workflow look like?
4 print shifts per day at 5 hours each. I come home from my dayjob during my lunchbreak to switch out for the second print shift. Assembly/packaging from 5pm to 11pm. The orders in the print queue hang in ziploc bags with a checklist/order sheet in each one.
>I imagine you can probably only do one at a time?
Each order involves two or three colors, so it's divided among multiple printers. And one printer is setup only for ABS. In a single day I can print one-and-a-half whole part sets.
>Is this something you do full or part time?
I still have a dayjob, but this is nearly full time on top of that. So I work a total of 60 to 80 hours a week depending on the time of year.

Hey anons, I have had a mp select mini version 1 for a couple years now and I've gotten some good use out of it, but it's starting to crap out on me. I was looking for advise as to whether I should put more money into it (about 100 dollars in replacing the power supply and hot end with fans) or just get a different printer. My reasons to upgrade would be a bigger print area as well as quieter operation. I'm willing to buy or build, just looking for some advice. Thanks

>Far I as know you own a few Lulzbot and Prusa printers, they should be capable of way better quality than that?
That's all I'm using now. I have 5 currently but need to order a 6th soon. Shit happens when you're printing 24/7 on multiple printers.

>Those ribbings are clearly a result of a messed up z screw or something
That print run probably just had a poorly adjusted extruder tensioner. Or the hobbed bolt teeth were full of shit.

>Guess I didnt know he started with low end printers.
I had three of them for a few months to get through a holiday order rush. They didn't last very long and drove me bonkers.

I've had 3 monoprice select minis go fubar on me in the past week. One of them was such a pain in the ass that I smashed it with a hammer and tossed it into the yard from a second story window.

It's been in the front yard for several days now. I've replaced all of them with my now fifth lulzbot mini and man is there way less stress in my life now.

It's going to snow tomorrow. I'll get the printer out of the yard when the grass needs mowing.
