While he's being autistic AF, that's not how 2 tiered wage systems work and you're being disingenuous or are simply ignorant.

With two tiered wage systems there was a set date/negotiation, where the workers all agreed to gimp future workers pay so that they could keep there payrate and the place open.

Anyone hired after that contract starts makes less money their _entire_ career there. Not just starting. Often they'll make less after a few years than a new hired Tier 1 worker would have made when they were hired on.

It goes against your point of paying workers on merit/experience. Because a Tier 2 worker at 20 years employment won't be making as much as a Tier 1 did after 10 years.

This creates tension between newer Tier 1 workers and the old Tier 2 guys. Often the Tier 2 guys work the shitty new guy jobs. While the older Tier 1 guys have not only comfier jobs that come with years, but also the extra compensation on top of it. Tier 1 guys often just don't care and are completely unsympathetic over it, they got their pie. Versus younger guys who are trying to start families/build homes, when housing/living costs have never been higher.

It feels really shitty to be working side by side with a guy, doing the same job and him making $5 more an hour than you.

an aesthetic tool is in its usefulness and ease of use.

Hammer is fucking garbage. Screwdrivers are fucking garbage. Reason most tools use rubber/wood/plastic for handles and not more steel. Can make up as much fluffy fairy bullshit about compensating for 'impact' when a rubber handle would do x10 more.

Tools aren't fucking imaginary mockups in a computer. People actually have to use and rely on them. Stick to designing fashion toys and leave tools for useful people.
