USB-A is rarely more than mid-2’s, I’m sure you got chang’d. The USB testers are cheap enough if you want to confirm your suspicions, even this Klein one was like $10-$15 IIRC, and there’s more versatile ones on Amazon/Ebay and such.

I would be curious if one panel draws 2A alone and they dim as you hook up the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Because maybe you could get a bigger USB brick with more outputs and try to wire each one to a rekt USB plug from a dead phone charger.

How many cycles do you have on it?

You really have to see them over time with some load on it. Like all these cheap stick lights with Chinese 18650s, they’re great for the first year and like 25-50 charge cycles, and then there’s issues, like 30% their original capacity and they get dim at full power because they can’t handle a steady load of an amp or two, meanwhile the LG or Samsung cell will do a few hundred charge cycles with like a 20% drop off in capacity only after 3 years and 300 cycles and can still put out peak amps nearly as well as when they were new.

I haven’t bought a single Chinesium device with lithium cells that last even half as long without huge degredation than my power tool battery packs.
